This Refund Policy explains our policy regarding refunds and cancellations for InvoiceSnapp subscriptions.
1. No Refunds Policy
All payments for InvoiceSnapp subscriptions are final and non-refundable.
This means:
- We do not offer refunds for any unused portion of your subscription
- We do not offer refunds if you change your mind
- We do not offer refunds for lack of use
- We do not offer refunds if you are dissatisfied with the Service
- We do not offer pro-rated refunds for downgrades or cancellations
This policy applies to:
- Starter Plan ($8 per month)
- Pro Plan ($12 per month)
- All monthly subscription billing
2. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time, but you will not receive a refund.
2.1 How to Cancel
To cancel your subscription:
- Log into your account
- Go to Account Settings → Billing
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
2.2 What Happens After Cancellation
- Access Continues: You will retain full access to all paid features until the end of your current monthly billing period (the date you already paid through)
- No Additional Charges: You will not be charged again after cancellation
- Automatic Downgrade: At the end of your billing period, your account will automatically revert to the Free tier (5 invoice limit with platform branding)
- Data Retained: Your existing invoices and client data will remain accessible (read-only after downgrade to Free tier if you've exceeded 5 invoices)
2.3 Example
Monthly Subscription: If you paid $12 on December 1st and cancel on December 15th, you will retain Pro access until December 31st. No refund will be provided for December 15-31.
3. Plan Changes (Upgrades and Downgrades)
3.1 Upgrading (Starter to Pro)
- Upgrade takes effect immediately
- You will be charged the difference between plans, pro-rated for the remainder of your billing period
- Your next renewal will be at the Pro plan rate ($12/month)
3.2 Downgrading (Pro to Starter)
- Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refund is provided for the current billing period
- Your next charge will be at the Starter plan rate ($8/month)
4. Failed Payments
If your subscription payment fails:
- Immediate Suspension: Your account will be suspended immediately
- Read-Only Access: You can view existing invoices but cannot create new ones
- No Refund for Downtime: If payment issues cause service interruption, no refund will be provided
- Reactivation: Update your payment method to reactivate your subscription
5. Exceptions (Discretionary Refunds)
While our general policy is no refunds, we may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:
5.1 Extended Service Outage
- If the Service is completely unavailable for 7 or more consecutive days due to an issue on our end (not including scheduled maintenance or issues with your internet connection)
- Refund amount: Pro-rated for the days of outage
5.2 Billing Errors
- If we accidentally charge you twice
- If we charge you after you have canceled (and the cancellation was properly processed)
- If we charge you the wrong amount
- Refund amount: The erroneous charge amount
5.3 Fraudulent Charges
- If your payment method was used without your authorization (stolen credit card, hacked account)
- You must report this immediately and provide documentation
- Refund amount: The unauthorized charge amount
5.4 How to Request an Exception
To request a refund exception:
- Email support@invoicesnap.com within 14 days of the charge
- Use subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]"
- Provide:
- Your account email
- Date and amount of charge
- Detailed explanation of the exceptional circumstance
- Any supporting documentation (screenshots, payment receipts, etc.)
Response Time: We will review your request and respond within 7 business days.
Important: Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to deny any refund request that does not meet the exceptional circumstances outlined above.
6. Chargebacks
Please do not file a chargeback with your bank or credit card company without contacting us first.
If you file a chargeback:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- Your data may be permanently deleted
- You will be banned from using the Service in the future
- We may pursue legal action to recover chargeback fees and damages
Instead: Contact support@invoicesnap.com to resolve any billing disputes. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and quickly.
7. Free Tier
The Free tier (5 invoices with platform branding) is free and requires no payment. Therefore:
- No refunds are applicable
- No cancellation is required (simply stop using the Service)
- You can delete your account at any time
8. Subscription Recommendations
Before subscribing, please note:
- Try Before You Buy: Use the Free tier (5 invoices) to test the Service before subscribing
- Start with Starter: Consider starting with the Starter plan ($8/month) to ensure the Service meets your needs before upgrading to Pro
- Monthly Flexibility: All subscriptions are monthly, so you can cancel or change plans at any time (changes take effect at the end of your billing period)
9. Satisfaction Guarantee (Alternative)
While we do not offer refunds, we are committed to your satisfaction:
- Free Tier: Try the Service with 5 free invoices before subscribing
- Responsive Support: Email support@invoicesnap.com with any issues or questions
- Starter Plan: Up to 2 weeks response time
- Pro Plan: Up to 1 week response time
- Feature Requests: We welcome feedback and actively improve the Service based on user input
- Flexible Cancellation: Cancel anytime and retain access through the end of your monthly billing period
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will:
- Be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Be communicated via email for material changes
- Not affect refund eligibility for charges made before the change
